Where we Work

Umoja operates at a national level, focusing on areas with significant wildlife populations outside protected areas. This includes the vicinities of Kidepo, Murchison Falls, or Lake Mburo national parks, as well as wildlife corridors and dispersal areas.

Currently, Umoja supports 18 member conservancies across the country, 11 of which are managed by communities, 5 by groups of landowners, and the other two are managed privately. The total acreage of conservancies registered with Umoja is approximately 600,000 hectares.
